What is Fascism
Fascism, Nazis and the Fascists
- Myth and Terror: Fascism and Nazism are based in a belief in the superiority of white people, and often a belief in the superiority of a race of pure white northern Europeans.
- They preach violence and terror against anyone who stands in the way of these beliefs.
- Antisemitism: Fascists and Nazis hate Jews and promote a totally false belief in a "Jewish Conspiracy" to justify their violence.
- Nationalism: They promote a false nationalism when spreading hate messages in UK communities.
- Their usual targets are individuals and groups who are black or Asian. Their most recent campaign has been against asylum seekers from other parts of the world.
- Hate and Prejudice: Hate and violence is also directed at gays and lesbians, people with disabilities, and trade-unionists.
- Violence: Hatred and trouble making often leads to violent attacks on their victims - from isolated black and Asian shopkeepers to agitating in whole communities of white people directed at destroying the lives of all black people.
- Recruitment and Recession: Support for the Nazis often increases during a recession, or when unemployment increases. They exploit divisions in society. They manipulate the fears of white people with scare stories about "floods" of refugees and immigrants coming into Britain. Refugees do not cause unemployment, bad housing and other problems.
- Scapegoating: Fascists often blame Jewish bankers and the myth of an economic conspiracy for recession. They also blame people who may be in a worse life situation than their own - scapegoating anybody different to themselves. But rich and poor alike can scapegoat - membership of Nazi and Fascist organisations knows no boundaries of class, race, education, sexuality, lifestyle or creed.
- Young White Working Class: Fascists and the new Nazis recruit from all walks of life. But white working class youth is targeted and exploited by the fascists to provide violent "foot-soldiers" and as a way of promoting their message amongst other white working class people.
- Fascists cannot offer anything to young people but isolation, fear and probably a prison sentence.
