Last week we saw the EDL admitting to assaulting teens, this week, even younger children are a target for the far right. North East BNP organiser Adam Walker was up in court yesterday accused of terrifying 11 and 12 year old children during an attack in which it is heard he chased the children whilst brandishing a knife during a “fun” day back in April 23rd 2011.
The court heard that Walker, 43, drove his Land Rover 4×4 vehicle over Tudhoe village green, near Spennymoor, behind one of the boys who was fleeing on his bike. It followed an earlier verbal confrontation when the boys were ticked off over their use of a bouncy castle outside a pub.
After the incident the boys fled into a house for refuge before Walker slashed the tyres on their bikes with a craft knife.
An hour later Walker was arrested the Green Tree pub in Tudhoe, and denied any involvement. Walker has been charged with dangerous driving, affray, possessing a bladed article and three counts of criminal damage. He previously admitted possessing the knife and the three charges of damaging the bike tyres, but he denied the driving and affray allegations.
Yet agan we see the violent nature of the far right, this time in everyday life, and the love they have of picking on those not in a position to defend themselves.Worryingly this time, an attack on children demonstrates the hideous nature of those not at the low levels of “supporter “, where the party can disown those who break the law, but in the senior ranks of the BNP. The BNP seem to find this kind of voilence against children as acceptable, as Walker is still employed by the BNP and carries out his duties working for the BNPs Member of European Parliament.
His brother Adam walker is also know for equally hideous behaviour and was banned from teaching in 2011 after sending innappropriate emails of a sexual nature to a 16yr old former pupil of his school, who the school was concerned about as being particularly vulnerable.
Its possible that Walker will receive a jail term if found guilty of brandishing knives at these children. Perhaps then he’ll have to pick on someone his own size.
